Catholic Secondary School Marl
As part of the Erasmus program, seven secondary school students from the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Lisesi in Samsun/Turkey and the Catholic Secondary School took part in an exciting project from April 22nd to April 26th, 2024, aimed at promoting language learning through the use of digital media.
The project led to intensive collaboration and the development of friendships between the participants.
The committed participants were selected from grades 9 and 10. By combining traditional teaching with modern technology, the students should not only improve their language skills but also develop a deeper understanding of digital media.
During the project, they actively participated in classes and had the opportunity to improve their language skills in a supportive environment.
Particularly noteworthy is the strong collaboration that developed during the project. The students from both schools worked closely together to achieve common goals and learn from each other.
Mr. Nurdoğan, a teacher at the Catholic Secondary School, emphasizes the importance of such exchange projects: "Intercultural exchange is invaluable for the personal development of students. By working with peers from other countries, they not only learn a new language, but also build a deeper understanding of other cultures and ways of life."
The project between the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Lisesi and the Catholic Secondary School has shown that combining language and digital media can be an extremely effective method to promote learning and develop intercultural competence. The committed students have not only improved their language skills, but have also made valuable friendships that will last beyond the duration of the project.
