KHS student wins painting competition

"My peaceful city"



Dana Alattar convinced the jury of the competition with her picture, which impressively

appeals to the human conscience.

for the individual, for the community

and also in the larger global sense

for humanity, Mayor

All winners of the city competition have the chance to present their

pictures in a worldwide competition - and in the case of

of a victory to be invited to Japan. We keep our fingers crossed for Dana.

Mr Arndt referred to the city of Marl’s membership in the international city network

"Mayors for Peace", which was founded many years ago by

a mayor from Hiroshima.
