Project "young volunteers"
Together with Silke Borutta from the Caritas Association Marl eV, we launched the project “Workshop for Young Volunteers”. As part of this project, the students visited the Haus Tobit senior citizens’ home and built wooden birdhouses together with the residents.

Through this project, the seventh-graders have the opportunity to learn exciting stories from the senior citizens.
They treated the seniors with a lot of respect, empathy and patience. The young people invested their free time after school to make other people happy.
The workshop helps to break down barriers to new career fields and age groups and offers the opportunity to get to know new areas for an internship or training.
