Students discover careers

On September 19, 2018, a careers course was held in the morning at the Catholic secondary school in Marl as part of the career discovery program for the 7th grade and some of the two SG classes. This measure, sponsored by the Federal Employment Agency and carried out by "Talent House - Training Youth - Promoting Young Talent," introduced the students to careers such as pattern design, machining, logistics, kindergarten, jobs in health and care, and mechatronics through various tasks. At various stations, for example, they had to place 10 horse templates on the back of their checklists and not allow any to stick out, or bend paper clips to scale based on templates. Cube assembly and connecting an arm with a cross brace were also tasks that the students had to complete during a station run.
